Set Decoration and Art Direction
Part of our current professional activity, related to prop rentals and the focus of its origin, is the setting of film, television, and theater sets within the scope of Art Direction and Production Design.
Over the past four decades, we have been both participants and, in some cases, specialists responsible for the final on-camera result of ambitious historical recreations in film shoots. Some titles whose set decoration we have created, now indelible in our memories, are: "Requiem for Granada" (1989), "El Rey Pasmado" (1991), "The Others" (2000), "Carmen" (2002), "Alatriste" (2006), "Goya's Ghosts" (2006), and "El Cid" (2020), among others.
Our props have starred in hundreds of productions, and we've had the privilege of working with brilliant directors such as Ridley Scott, Terry Gilliam, Richard Lester, Pedro Almodóvar, Milos Forman, Alejandro Amenábar, Franklin J. Schaffner, Pedro Lazaga, Gonzalo Suárez, Vicente Aranda, Agustín Díaz Yanes, Fernando Trueba, José Luis Cuerda, Fernando Fernán Gómez, Carlos Saura, Jaime de Armiñán...
...and artists such as Javier Bardem, Penélope Cruz, Christian Bale, Michael Fassbender, Robert de Niro, Nicole Kidman, Brad Pitt, Harvey Keitel, Natalie Portman, Marion Cotillard, Stellan Skarsgard, Viggo Mortensen, Russell Crowe, Hugh Jackman, Anne Hathaway, Orlando Bloom, Liam Neeson, Gabino Diego, Luis Tosar, Javier Cámara, Antonio Resines...
...alongside the best national and international professionals in various technical departments of the audiovisual industry.
In addition to detailed props and everything related to period furniture, basketry, pottery, lighting, war material, and siege engines, for example, our tents, Arabian tents, Asian yurts, and Indian teepees are also used as decoration elements in countless film and television sets.
Our work also encompasses theater, advertising, and events. We have participated in cultural and artistic exhibitions, providing decoration, such as Iron Age children's workshops for National Heritage, the remodeling of the Residencia de Estudiantes in Madrid, mass performances in Alcalá de Henares, various commercials for Captain Morgan, Budweiser, Fanta, and Maserati, corporate events at the Cibeles Palace, and even the construction of Christmas parades for the Daganzo City Council, for example.
Being members of the Spanish Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and sharing our passion for film and television design with younger generations, for example through visits from students from the ECAM and TAI schools, is a privilege we've also enjoyed.
